The Religious Exemption Accountability Project (REAP) is proud to announce an ongoing working relationship with nationally recognized civil and victim rights attorney Laura L. Dunn (she/her), a partner at BAILEY DUQUETTE P.C. In a time of rapid legal shifts under the Trump administration, REAP is taking decisive action to protect LGBTQ+ students and survivors of discrimination at non-affirming Christian colleges and universities.

Laura L. Dunn, J.D., is an award-winning attorney and advocate with deep expertise in Title IX law and campus sexual violence issues, and she will serve as a critical advisor to REAP. Her leadership will help guide the organization through the evolving legal landscape, ensuring REAP continues to hold religiously affiliated institutions accountable for discrimination and harm in these challenging political times.

"With Title IX protections under attack and Christian campuses emboldened to deny basic rights, we knew we needed the best legal minds in our corner," said Erin Green (she/they), Director of REAP. "Laura Dunn’s expertise, dedication, and proven impact make her the perfect ally in this crucial fight."

This partnership comes at a time when swift federal policy changes threaten hard-fought gains in LGBTQ+ and survivor protections. REAP’s decision to retain Dunn signals a strategic investment in the organization's ability to defend vulnerable students and to advance legal challenges as needed. "REAP’s mission is urgent," said Dunn. "I am honored to support their groundbreaking work as they champion the rights and dignity of LGBTQ+ students across the country."

Together, REAP and Laura Dunn will work to ensure that no student’s safety, education, or humanity is compromised under the guise of religious exemption.
